And I heard that Prof. Joe Vee lives in his parents' basement and cuddles up at night with an inflatable party sheep.

Perhaps, Professor Joe, you'd like to tell us your sheep's name and we can have some juice and cookies.

So when does PFT "officially" start in this J@ck@$$es mind?

Should Delta pay for my private? My commercial. If I am military should I refuse to pay for an ATP on principle? Yes, I too will sit at home unemployed, no HAPPILY unemployed! I'll tell my starving kids and my bread winning wife -- F those bastards I am not engaging in morally wrong-headed PFT schemes. ANd F Southwest for paying all those pilots thousand a month when they made them get a 737 type. Lucky thing I am smarter and suprerior to all of those scabby pr!cks!!!!

-Give me a break!

LiveFreeorDie, You sort of lost me with this. To which previous post are you refering? Are you defending the practice of buying a job?

Wrong. Why don't you go find another sanbox to play in? All you are doing is continuing to make yourself look like a jackass. And I don't even work for AirTran....but I can spot a jackass like you a mile away.

Hey don't insult Jackasses! Such a noble beast of burden doesn't deserve to be compared to "Pretender" Joe Vee.

Joe Vee should go back to working on his robot. His girl robot. :D

ENIGMA to answer your question--

The first post on this thread states:

" remarked Lye Puckett, 53, of Macon Ga. "Heck they think we are Scabs, and even though I forked over a ton of cash for this job I feel pretty good about myself"

Sounded like this guy is accusing people who fly for LCC's of being scabs or paying for their own training.

I have heard the debate before and find it quite silly. Many people begrudge SWA asking for a type rating when pilot supply is up. And then they accuse those who get it as being disloyal to the brotherhood of pilots or some such nonsense.

If someone wants to make themselves more competitive by getting off their a$$ and getting a new type or rating--great. If I am a CEO and I can get some rich boy to treat my copilot seat like an aviation academy--great! If I get involved in some company where I have to sign a payback contract if I leave early -- well atleast I have a job. That is all I was getting at.

Professor of What?

You should call yourself Senator Joe Vee or Congressman Joe Vee, because Professors usually answer straightforward questions, such as:

1. What airplanes have you flown?

2. Who do you work for?

3. Are you a pilot? Navigator?

4. Did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night???

Basically, I'm trying to figure out what it takes to become a Professor...

Professor General Lee...
Professor AFCitrus...
Professor Ty Webb...
Professor Flx757...

The difference is, these guys have tenure!

I am a professor now? Awesome! You all have homework tonight---to reread all of my 2200 posts and write a brief 15 page summary--due tomorrow!

Bye Bye--Prof. General Lee:rolleyes:

Fifteen pages, holy mother of mackerel! But hey, I can condense them all down to one word: Excessive!

(Sorry, Gen, it was too easy)

Dizel8,

You get a "D-" and have to repeat the course!

Bye Bye--General Lee:D

Thanks for the response. I must have been up too late when I read the original satire. BTW, I agree with you, I work for a LCC and I didn't take anyones job when I hired on. I also bought a type so that I might have a chance at SWA, and if I get hired there, I still will not have stolen anothers job. Nor will I ever pay an employer for a job.

It looks like we agree. Thanks, sorry for the confusion.

"...several DUI's..." I knew I was under-qualified for AirTran!:p

I'll have to get right on that. Do I just need more than two or is there a specific number I can shoot for?:D TC

Not only will it help you at Air Tran, but it also qualifies you for the White House. However, you might have to do some extra-curricular activities and try some cocaine.

:D

Yeah, but at least then I could get a fighter slot in a Guard unit!;) TC

Wow... I never have seen so much garb.... I'm pretty thick skinned but this is just crap guys.

AirTran has a pretty good pilot group. Ive been there for 3 years... Honest and hard working mostly... Its a pretty good flying gig...

Kinda sick of the image that dorks keep trying to dig up. We could sit here and dig up junk at any airline.... do we really want to start that? I'll go first if you like ....

Ive worked for a major(mechanic), commuter, freight, and a LCC.... all are different and none are any better than the other.. Pure and simple. Dudes always want to make it something that it isnt.

EGO's are the problem in this industry. Get over looking down your nose at Fellow Pilots on the concourse, who only have a different color cheesy poly blend suits than your own. We all want better benefits, pay, and schedules. Fly safe.. have fun. work hard.... take care of the passengers as best you can...

Thanks for listening... I'm done and feel much better..... (I guess his post worked. I got suckered right in....)

good to see you back

I thought you had disappeared, good to see you back.

Dang,

All this traffic from a "made up" article. Please don't tell me anyone bought into this. Aviation Leek and Space Lechnology ie "Aviation Week and Space Technology" and the best was the faux Mike Boyd as " Allen Boyed "of Aviation Consulting LLC, in Evergreen Colorado.

canyongrand, oops I mean canyonblue
