I saw that on the news during the day today before any details came up (see: BREAKING NEWS) and my first thought was why couldn't he just put into the numerous fields that surrounded that little farm house....creepy...

RIP

The poor girl didn't deserve this. If he had wanted to leave this cruel world, then he should have taken himself only.

Best case scenario would have been if somebody found out he was suicidal and got him help.

RIP

Why is this on the regional forum? I guess my question applies to all news articles you have posted tonight.

Excuse me, this is the only news article I have posted tonight...

I just saw it thought it was horrible, didn't think I would of upset someone by putting news like this in the wrong forum!

It $ucks we don't have a general info board anymore. I don't mind seeing non-regional stuff posted here once in a while.

my apologies....I was out of line. It was late, and I was tired. There were about 4 different articles posted on here and I thought you posted them. Please forgive me.

That crash does prove one thing,... a Cessna flown into a building wont do as much damage as the public is lead to believe. That house survived pretty well considering its probably just wood and siding.

i live in the area....my old boss at the FBO at KBMG went and brought the airplane back in the bed of a truck....from the looks of it, it was a high speed high angle impact....airplane is in baaad shape....it is truly a shame that he had to take his daughter with him....God Bless them both

Don't you have a heart? I guess you just don't.

You're so caught up being a regional pilot or regional pilot wanna be that it offends you if someone posts a news that directly affects all us pilots. Just because he flew a smaller airplane than your mighty Transport Category Airplane doesn't mean he wasn't a pilot.

Sounds like you don't have children, but one doesn't have to be a parent to feel what that girl must have gone through in the last few moments of her so short a life.

Perhaps by posting here it would help to address that problem in some ways: may be some day this simple post would help to come up with a process that would ensure safety of children in General Aviation.

For me, I wouldn't mind proposing, as a father, to have a written consent by both parents, in order for a child (under a certain age) to fly with one of the parents. Just like a foreign travel requirement. Yes, lot of people would be up in arms about so called liberties, but I'd rather have million parents and kids go through some 'discomfort' of obtaining that kind of permission than to have another child go through like our innocent little angel this morning.

God Bless her soul.

I hope, for you, to realize that a human life is an incredible gift. I hope, starting right now, you look for ways to develop sensitivity to what that child might have gone through before her death. I hope you develop sympathy in your heart...and not get too bent out of shape simply because a concerned pilot posted a very important piece of news on this forum that has ruined your day.

Why stop there? Why not driving too? If he was suicidal, and wanted to kill himself and his daughter, he could have driven his car 100mph into a wall. Same result.
