That's actually pretty close to what we're offering. And, for expat work, that's about industry standard. West Africa in General and Nigeria in particular isn't a fun place to be. It's tough to keep people. It's tough to recruit experienced pilots, who can deal with local difficulties without getting frustrated.

At least we don't live in Lagos. That place is the pits.

Yea, I understand about west africa I took an Archer III from the states to south africa Via Azores & Western Africa was a rather fun trip Luanda was the worst Ghana was the best. I can deal with corrupt & seedy people that always fun. So when they going to send me the contract and a plane ticket "round trip" for negotiations?

I have prescriptions for zythromax, doxicycline, cipro, and a few others??? I cannot remember the name's. I have a 30 day supply of each in my survival kit packed in my raft. I basically have penicillins, tetracyclines, spectinomycin, and fluoroquinolones avaiable to me if I ever need them. I have a good prescriber make one phone call tell doc where I am going and and a prescription is waiting if not already on hold. I even have some pain killers in the survival kit Oxycotton? I sure hope I never need them.

As for AK's I got a few of them also! Those are packed in cosmoline!

If you have an AK(I have 7) you don't need a back-up. It willl work.

Our local customer has a lot of muscle, and there are many guys with guns who escort us around. If we're going to the markets, these guns will be visible (Kalishnikovs, Shotguns, BARs, etc). When we're flying soemplace, there are lots of guys with concealed weapons.

It's like this: Working in Nigeria is like being in a movie, but it's not the movie you expect. Most people think you come here, and you deal with something similar to Vietnam with bandit-ridden roads, guerillas in muddy river deltas, ZSUs, etc.

Unless you're on an oil rig in the Delta, it's not really like that. It's more like being in an old-timey gangster movie. You deal with a lot of political BS, and, as long as you don't get involved with various plots or buy into the "I'll make you a rich man!" routine, you'll be fine.
