NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE (3/01/06)
The Negotiating Committee continues to meet around the clock with NWA management. Progress has been made, but some important issues still remain unresolved. Both parties filed their current table positions with the court at 11:00 a.m. EST. We are now waiting to see what action Judge Gropper may decide to take today. The company is reporting that the PFAA reached a tentative agreement at about 11:00 a.m. today. Negotiations will remain very fluid and we will communicate significant news as soon as possible. The next Hotline is scheduled to be posted this evening or earlier if conditions warrant.

It is absolutely disgusting to see management come back for even MORE cuts, especially after Delta has already given up 32.5% and then another 20 something percent. So basically they are doing the exact same job a couple of years ago for half the money.
Slashing workers wagers is only a fraction of the equation but the workers are paying full price. An absolute shame.
