I'm researching a story for a friend of mine about a lady who was allegededly murdered by her husband. The way I understand it this was not a recent occurence. Not sure of anything but they both may have been FedEx. Any help would beappreciated.

Thanks

Woodchipper

An Eastern pilot murdered his Pan Am flight attendent wife back in the seventies. Froze her body and then put it in the woodchipper. Was tried and convicted of murder.

He was acquitted. Rode with him on the crew bus a little while back.

What I saw was ficticious, but it was on last week's episode of "Medium" on NBC (Patricia Arquette is sort of hot)

It was "City Confidential" on A&E. Every once and awhile I see it on A&E. He was acquited. I believe it happened in the late 80s or early 90s.

It's True

I think show aired on A&E and he was/still is (NON-MEMBER SCAB) a Fedex Pilot.

I have flown with a couple of captains that have told me the story, pretty freaky. Appartently there was a lot of circumstantial evidence but the Memphis police couldn't tie everything together. I think he had a son that also looked suspecious but was never charged.

Story was he blugened her to death, drove her in a car to Mississippi, and set the car ablaze so that the remains could not be identified. He was fired from FEDEX and after the acquittal, was reinstated with full back pay. I'll see if I can find the local news story and post it here. Both the husband and the wife were pilots for FEDEX.

There is another FedEx pilot who was charged with murdering his wife in the mid-90's. He's pretty well-known in the skydiving community for flying a fast-climbing King Air. He's also a SCAB (anyone notice the pattern?) He was acquitted as well. There are lots of rumors floating around the skydiving community that his underage son (at the time) actually killed her, and the Scab disposed of the body.

i used to fly with a flight att that was one of his GFs and she had to testify. it was big news then and i think it was the late eighties if my feeble memory is correct. :)
