How could anyone associated with the Malibu of the Midwest, the city of Detroit be pissed. I mean look at Axel Foley; he always seemed happy.

is this the same pilot thats in the lawsuit against NWA and ALPA and boeing b/c he thinks theres an explosive aboard the plane and they cant convince him that its a safe plane to fly? Jeez bud lay off sniffin the jet fuel, i do every now and then

Riding on this pilot's airplane was the safest thing these people will do all year. It doesn't matter how bumbed out the guy was. We're safer than the highway, the hospital and even the library! I don't care who was on that plane, NO ONE has given up more in their professional lives, and simultaneously delivered a near perfect service, than airline pilots.

That sort of sentiment would make a good full page ad in the USA Today.

I'd have to say (for the first time) - I AGREE with you, on this one.

Steenland is an ASS! Where's the money you owe me D!CKHEAD?! I feel better having added that.

This is F!@ken great. He should have BiTched slapped the passenger also! Absolutely F!@cking grand!!! More time to gamble in LAS... that is how pensions are solidified....F!@king awesome!!!
With that mouth, I'm just wondering, are you him?

Gee, 40% pay cut, frozen pension, 80 hour minimum lines, crap work rules, another five years before a new contract: and the phone call was either his wife leaving him for a software geek or someone telling him about the MILLIONS Frankensteenland is going to get. Can't imagine why he was having a bad day!

Take it Back!

Or ex-wife's attorney calling to say court ruled she gets full pay and benefits without a 40% reduction......

Oh God,,, I never thought about that.

If they take a 40% pay cut, what happens to the alimony check? There might not be enough there to even cover it? :(

Hey OilTycoon: great avatar! Do you think BSG jumped the shark with the last episode or are you happy to wait a YEAR until next season?

He is a senior (400-450 seniority) guy hired in '79 at Republic.

Got a couple of bad phone calls and got loud. Shoulda taken it outside, and vented out of earshot of the pax.

What happens to him now will depend on who was on the other end of the phone. If it was Crew Skeds or a CP, he's gonna have some 'splaining to do. If it was a lawyer/ex-wife/etc, then it'll ultimately be treated as an "intevention" during the receipt of bad news.

He found out his daughter got "property of YPF" tattooed on her ass.

You moved up 3 numbers in March due to Stupid Pilot Tricks alone.

give us some more dirt?

Given all the crap pilots have to put up with from everybody, I'm frankly surprised that this doesn't happen regularly.

This is second hand info from an unverified source, but on another board someone who claimed to "know" said it was a private investigator on the phone. The pilot had hired him to check up on his wife, and it turns out the wife was indeed cheating....

Should have done what my brother did when he thought his fiance was cheating. My brother asked me to try to get with her becuase she always seems a little more friendly with me. It took about a week but I got my brother's fiance in bed, he dumped her and my brother and I have been going to strip clubs a lot lately. Maybe I should try this with my Fiance, any takers!

What "crap"? Some guys "put up" with crap....others don't "take any crap".

You seem to think too many put up with it? Thats sad....does the "Taking it Back" campaign have anything to say about this?
