I used to operate a B2-H4 out of 600meter (2000ft) strips at MTOW and occasionally at light weight I was able to get in and out of some 300 and 400meter strips in North Africa. The 600m strips were no problem at 3800lbs on 50c days. I have a flight manual around here somewhere if I can find it I'll give you factory numbers.

PC6,

Thanks for the info so quick! Looking at the airplanes you've flown, I'm smilin'. :D (green with envy). Bet you have lots of neat stories.

50c days is too dang hot (gag), must have good air conditioning for stuff like that, hopefully an apu.

Regards,

SR

I have a Porter ... electric R/C and it flies great! VERY slow and handles great. I hand launch it and it takes all of about two feet.

I've never flown one...but I was witness to a Pilatus delivery pilot bringing one in once and all I can say is impressive. It stops faster than a Honda Civic and sure flies alot better too! thats fo sho.
