Well I received the LTP ballot today. Are the rates amendable in 2009? It would be nice if the FO rates were better though.
 
Fo rates??!!??!! The uprgrade is going to drop to 2 years!!!!! We'll be mad rich!!!!

Keep in mind that FlyBe in Europe is starting new hire FO's out at 50k on the Q400. I know, I know - this ain't Europe. But this ain't a third world country either.

One needs to compare pay issue in relative to the standard of living it would aford him/her. In most developed country outside the US, such as UK for example, even if you make $50k/year, your standard of living could be equivalent to $25K/year due to high cost of living. It's not just straight number that matters. It's the number relative to how much disposable income one would have in relationship to prices.
