What About ORF?

So is everything closed now in ORF/PHF? Seems like you go from co-domicile in a twin urban area with A NICE BIG MX HANGAR (ORF) to.... LaGuardia?

duh.

I guess it's good to be in CLT, than you can stay abreast of what's going on in the torture dep.... I mean training department.

Talk about people that need to get a life - YIKES!
 
42 hours and 4 minutes more til I find out where my next force move at PDT will take me. Oh, the anticipation. Anyone have any popcorn?
 
Anybody else hear the rumors that EWN might be the next base to fall under the axe, and possibly CHO after that? BOHICA

EWN will close as soon as they stop overnighting Dash 8's! They have been saying EWN is closing for years now! No Dash 8 overnight = EWN Closure!

Wow! Just looked and the most Junior CA in ROA would have about 7 years of senority!!! Holy Smacks!! That will be a bunch of grumpies for the FO's to fly with!!!! Jking!! This really sucked!! Good luck to all that had there lives ripped apart!

Im assuming since I didnt see my name on the second round bid awards, that I was kept in the base given to me during the first round? Sounds obvious I know, just making sure i'm reading it correctly.

Are the new guys into the sims yet? I think i saw some 2 on 1's going on in phf the other night. When does the new class start after them?
 
We start the sims Sunday. The next class starts ground school the 27th.
 
Keeping us in CLT. Four of us (including myself) got MDT and four got SBY. I was sure I would get my first choice SYR. How would the commute be from SYR to MDT? Any crash pads in MDT?
 
Thats kinda messed, I think theres still an open spot in SYR. Master list currently shows 28 of 29 FO positions filled, of course it also only shows two of y'all in SBY (and two in EWN). Anyway, do you have a place in SYR? Do you want to sublet it? :)

Commute from SYR to MDT is at least 2 legs, through either PIT or PHL (PHL having more flights). It'd be pretty miserable, PHL can make an otherwise nice day pretty bad. I'd drive it more often than not, otherwise you'll spend all your time off getting back and forth to work.

I don't know about now, but there never used to be any crash pads in MDT.

Hey man congrats. please inform the rest of your class about this info. They bust your balls pretty hard in the sim and someone always washes out. I am sure you will do fine, keep our head up and always say yes when they are telling you how stupid you are. When they wash someone out they bring them in a room and give them the opportunity to resign. Screw that, once you sign that paper its all over. So tell your buddys (if they are having a hard time) not to be intimidated by that crap. if you threaten to sue when they are trying to fire someone they will back off its been done before. The reason I am saying this is because JK chops heads off and does not care about the lives he has destroyed. This is training , yes people are expected to perform, but also its training. So play the game, but if things go south people should not be putting there name on a piece of paper until they talk to their lawyers.

Hey Mu2, I am switching bases to MDT along with a buddy of mine. We are looking at starting some kind of a crash pad up there if you want to go in with us. PM me and we'll exchange details.
