opecjet, yea you were right, not that i was doubting you or anything. i went back and listed phf as my primary base. i think its a weasel move by the company to consider someone a voluntary move if they dont list their current domicile as the primary one, even though everyone knows it closing!!!

robcat,

you know of any other folks from CLT willing to brave the crashpads and out n' backs of the illustrious LGA base? oh...i almost forgot the getting pistol whipped on your way to work part too. my bad.

sucks for you guys as far as the base closures but welcome to new york, pretty good folks up here in LGA. the people make it bearable.

Nope just me for the FO's that I've talked to, I think most are going to go for ROA or EWN. You may get more CA from other bases. Whats the crash pad status up there?

varies...

$150 for hot beds (blech!) but cheap. $200 and up for your own bed. some crackpads are walking distance and some you take the bus. PM me with what you're looking for and i'll give you the skinny on what's available.

crashpad life ain't pretty bro...brace brace brace

PDT has been approved to go ahead with CASS. We are not compliant as of yet, but the funding has been approved.

Next step is to get passport info from everyone, then get the gate agents trained.

Should take 1.5 to 3 months.

you what really stinks is that not only did they close clt/phf, anyone in roa and probably ewn will get the boot, due to the huge level of seniority that those newly displaced f.o's have

Just remember to keep your present base as number 1 on your permanent bid unless you want to VOLUNTARILY move.

Hopefully there won't be too much booting out of ROA, but you can count on there being some.

how many do you think opec jet are getting kicked outa ROA, loretta mentedioned 1 possibly 2, at max but thats what she though. who knows. is it for sure that tuesday is the new day?

from the PDT Revolutions email newletter:

Extended Base Realignment Bidding

Please note that the company has extended base realignment bidding to Tuesday, March
14, which means that you have a couple of extra days to consider your final
submission.

Also note that because base realignment bidding overlaps with the April schedule
bidding period, the company has announced that it will post schedule awards no later
than Friday, March 17.

This is from the union and I haven't seen it on the company page yet. I'd say get your stuff in tommorow and if you change your mind before tuesday send it in agian.

a little off subject, but i'm wondering how exactly our companion pass benefits work... does it come out of your paycheck automatically or something with the taxes...

It takes money to make a companion pass work. The taxes, etc are in the charge incurred to exercising a companion pass, so you don't feel it.

Gets weird when you have a registered companion.... that's imputed income.

Whats the chances of PDT actually getting larger, rather than continuing the trend of the past 5 years and thats obvious, removing aircraft form the fleet.
what does everyone think? any juicy rumors?

I here that MESA is going to bring 12 or so Dashes out here to the East coast to fly delta connection. Are they going to be new to the fleet or some of the ones thats doing America West Exp?

Probably are gonna be using the Dash 8 200's that PDT is returning!

great,

dirtbags flying 200s for sub pay. I am sure we will soon see them braging about better EQT.

Heads up I would fly a 172 for more pay.. mesa=I would fly a 200 for less pay than a 100. your pilot group is a joke, or the aids monkey (the monkey that some retard nailed to invent aids) yep thats you the aids monkey.

god dam.

I need to know the call sign for the mesa -8S, i BET ITS "jekoff XXX"

screw you guys, and once the parents cut the monthly check off, you might learn. fags!!

I kicked around some numbers, it appears to me that we will have at least 6 fewer captains' seats when the music stops. My accounting could be hosed up, anyone else looked at this?

Does anyone ever read my posts?????? Let me go find it and re-post it.

Alright,

I just ran all the numbers.

As of March 2006:

166 Hard Lines of flying.
249 Active Captains, 280 Total.

Future Numbers from the FIL:

175 Hard lines of Flying anticipated.
238 Active Captain positions.

We must have had 11 Captains either quit or go out on medical this month to get to the 238 CA positions available

OK, so now what?

Were all of the first rounds just the PHF/CLT guys, or have people been dispalced from elsewhere yet?

While I can't be certain about every name on the initial award, at least all the names I recognize are from either PHF or CLT.

Im pretty sure the names were just us phf/clt guys. I'm no expert, but wouldnt it have made more sense to close these two bases down at seperate times to avoid all the turmoil that will result from all these people being moved, plus the moves from guys getting bumped out? Now you have a one month period with half the company needing to move to a different city. I cant wait to see how the company reacts when all these people need a moving company, moving days, 24hr. p/d, early lease payouts, this fee, yada yada. I think its going to be a complete mess. I cant see the company actually following through with this deal like it is supposed to work. I think you guys sitting on reserve that never fly may get to finally do a few legs in may.

Those on the award were CLT/PHF guys. Its going to be a huge mess for quite some time. Look at all the awards for ROA. That's going to be a commuting hell...... Negrodamus says lots of missed trips when people can't get to work on full airplanes.
