I have been told by a few sources some credible and some of which are on the 'inside' that Piedmont or i spose it would be usairways will be placing an order with bombardier for the -q400 in november.

And if you don't accept a contract freeze and -100 rates to fly them, they'll give them all to PSA!!!

;)

This is a very good thing. I haven't been on one but have heard that the specs and economics are outstanding. Lots quicker and longer legs than the other varients from what I understand. If true PDT could be getting some good trips or better utilization with that machine! Might mean some long days with lots of legs though...

Well lets not start sucking each others D$ck's yet........ Believe it when you see a Piedmont Sticker by the Door, and you arse is sitting in it......

Plus with the back orders.. maybe a year and a half before you see them... And that from the time they place a order..

You mean longer than the 6-8 leg days blocked at more than 7.5 hours of flying we have now? That would be unbelievable.

NOT EVER GOING TO HAPPEN!!!

The second you start IOE at Skywest it will. So- move along... move along...

And Billy, I ain't huffin' anybody's chode but my own. Figh dallah fah show!

I will be very suprised if we see an aircraft order THIS November. November 2007? A little more likely. I have been wrong pretty much for the last six years so why should I be right now? We'll see.

I won't get excited until I see the rates on the airplane.

you know what your right. it will happen right after I bail, if it does I would love it because everyone here are the best guys I have ever flown with. Even though they have been beaten down like a turd in a bag, by the mainline MEC, SBY, and PSA. I love the boys at PDT and hope the best to them!

....

I figured PDT would get new planes after I quit, which was yesterday!!!! So, this must be those new planes I was thinking of.....

Yea, all you FO's are wondering if I was senior to ya. Bet youd like to know, wouldnt ya???? I was in ROA. Came upon much more exciting work, couldnt say no. I had a good time at PDT. Ill miss the Dash, the crews, and that is absolutely it. I left with an extremely bitter taste in my mouth (ok bring the jokes on that one, i earned it) from the higher brass during some conversations on my last few days. Oh well, move on I guess.

#10668 maybe?

Yea that ones close to an upgrade, but not mine. At the current rate id still have around 2 years to go for the upgrade.

Good Luck!! Everytime someone leaves PDT I get the vision of 'An Officier and Gentleman'... When Richard Gere comes in and rescues Paula from the Paper Mill!!!!!! Way to go Paula!!!!!

....

Id be the same vision, except i'd wouldnt be weaing my tie, hadn't had a shave in a week or two, and would just be getting off a 3 day drunk. Doesnt have the same ring to it as richard gere's version I suppose.

Congrats, Johnny. Don't get the jungle jepps wet, and I'll drink a one to you say, tomorrow afternoon. Best of luck to ya, and check in with the stories now and again.

....

Why wait till tomorrow afternoon? No better time than now. I just opened a High Life Light. MMMMM...Maybe i should be enjoying the good stuff until i leave? thoughts?

Hey Johnny, That sucks they didn’t give you a leave of absence. The management here has no honor! I'm drinkin a Miller for you too.

Yea, I got the shaft. But im in no way suprised. They just screwed over some girl FO a month or two back on pretty much the same circumstances. Gosh, and they sound so nice over the phone too.

Maybe im lost here, but how is it hurting the company to just push me to the side for a while, so i can take care of some things. It isnt like i can walk back into a captains spot, id just come back wherever i left off. I mean for god sakes PDT has an employee (me) who actually has some desire to return to this place ( I know, im friggin nuts), and im shot down. Good move boys. Maybe its a blessing in disguise.

I got my paycheck today, it looked like an early april fools joke, i think i might send it back. Its like they are trying to get back at me for something. Im sure itll be painless to get this one straightened out.

The mgmt. here is gonna dangle that new airplane $hit in front of our noses like a piece of crack in front of a crack whore. Even when the Dash 400 makes more than enough sense, I could very easily see mgmt. going to a outside vendor who would be willing to purchase those airplanes on their own (i.e. Mesa). Why waste a bunch of money on NEW turboprops, when they could just make up some ********************ty contract with another ********************ty airline? I ain't holding my breath for anything here!
