Is it true that Piedmont gives a test the first week of class. If so, I would appreciate knowing on what day and on what material?

....

I cant remember but id imagine theyd fill you in when you show up in CLT, i wouldnt worry too much about it.

Im glad theyre hiring so maybe we can be staffed correctly (im guessing we are short), maybe now the front desk clerk at the hotel wont knock on my door from 0430 to 0545 trying to tell me PDT scheduling is trying to get ahold of me (no checkout message). I forgot to lock the deadbolt so he actually walked in and woke me up the fourth go-around. Is that even allowed? New guys remember to unplug the phone from the wall socket as soon as you get into the room.

If you can, document this with dates, times, and names. Then email it to me.

That's a new one. Were you decent at least? Did he anounce himself as housekeeping? If not, you may have a lawsuit! And with the awarded damages you can buy PDT! Yea!

yes. the whole ground school is only like 8 days (off on weekends). they will send you a study package prior to your arrival.

Test the first Friday, Test Monday of the second week, and Test Friday of the second week. 3 written tests in two weeks of ground school. Then comes the simulator training(what a f'in pain that was).

...

so when did they tell you guys "the q400's are right around the corner"?

And about that message on the daily about "august 8th is coming, be ready", we had some sort of confirmation this past trip that it has something to do with budweiser teaming up with something, US Air, etc......what a let down, like everything else here. Hopefully it turns out to be something else.

They already announced what it is on the hub. Nothing as exciting as Budweiser.

...

really? I never look at the hub, my password has never worked. So it isnt some promotion deal with some beverage company? The guy i talked to was so sure he was right that I guess i just believed him.

A beer's a beer, and I'll take it. I'd like good beer, but I'd also like a million bucks. If I don't get either I'll be alright.

The big announcent:

YOU make US fly.

Its some kind of moral boost campaign or something. We are all special.... Special like the Olympics.

" YOU make US fly"

they should of never hiped that up, whoever made the decision in HR to try to get the employees involved in this dumb campain is a complete idiot. It just pissed off an allready beatdown group of sweaty, broke pilots. true morons are running the show. you want to make us happy? give us money, give us new planes, dont think we care about anything else, because we dont.

/rant over.

yea that sim sucks newhire guys, JK ruins peoples careers and never looks back. that fat slob cant even fly the dash, but he has a type in it, so on his desk/memos its signed "captian J K" give me a break.

You are NOT supposed to brew beer with rice!!!

And yeah, I'll have a couple...

Just got the informative packet! I am so excited! Has a nice little pin and a lanyard, too! I'll probably end up pricking myself with it. And the lanyard, well, I am sure it has lots of great uses too!

Negative on that. It has a breakaway clasp so you can't use it to hang yourslef if you get stuck in the microtel.

...

You've got to be kidding me about the "U make US fly" thing...what a slap in the face. Not that I had high hopes about the "big announcement" but WTF.

So how much will that stuff go for on Ebay?
