I did a search and couldnt find if they allow pets in the Dubai villas that Emirates supplies. Any info?

They told me in the interview that "pets are not encouraged."

Word for word. You wouldn't want much more than a small dog or cat over there anyway.

But keeping a small boy is allowed—seriously.

I brought my German Shephard and a cat........no problems and nobody ever made an issue out of it.

There are no problems with pets at all. Not sure where the "not encouraged" thing comes from. Some HR person feeding you a line. Not only that, but as EK, you can get a discount at Dubai Kennels and Catery. I think they are great, not promoting them, but they work for me. They also can setup international travel. http://www.dkc.ae/
Damn near everyone has a dog, cat, rabbit, turtle, and/or a few exotics where I live. No problems what so ever.
