Dialnet 948-5541

Date: 24 July 2003 Interoffice

Correspondence

To: ALL PILOTS

From: Pike Johnston, Director of Flight Operations

Subject: Personal Leave of Absence Availability, September 2003

Due to the projected staffing of pilot positions for the month of September 2003, we are soliciting requests
for UN-paid Personal Leave of Absences. The following criteria apply:

· Requests must be for a minimum of 14 days.

· A maximum of 30 days.

· Requests should be made electronically through the Allegheny web page to your supervisor.

· Leaves will be awarded by Position, Base and staffing requirements.

Please contact your supervisor if you have any questions.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If past events indicate future actions there should be a Reduction/downgrade/furlough bid out for either Sept or Oct. shortly. This is the third or fourth time we've seen this since 9/11.
:( :( :(

Let the fun begin

Only the best of wishes for those at ALG. I flew with some great crews during my time there.

sayagain?

It could mean absolutly nothing. Comair has asked for COLA's (company offered leaves of absence) in the past and they are asking again for september. Comair is behind on aircraft deliveries and overstaffed. That is why they ask for colas and everytime pilots jump on the opportunity. Nothing has ever come out of it.

Yes, but Comair doesn't have quite the incompetence at the higher levels as we do at Airways. ALG and PDT have the best ontime and completion factors as anyone in the entire industry, and still, all out flying is outsourced to the lowest common denominator. Hang in there ALG, we at PDT are right with you.
