People Express pay question

I posted this on the general bbs because this is supposed to be an interview bbs. However, I guess that most of you all don't go to the general bbs.

Does anyone know how the pay scales at People Express compared to their competition? Did People Express have significant pilot pay advantage over everyone else?

For that matter, was the pay at post strike CAL, EAL, etc substantially lower than the rates of the then dominant carriers?

As I remember, yes, along with streamlined work rules etc. Until they got lost trying to expand into something they were not, they had a pretty simple system. X pay for capt, x pay for fo, Xpay for FE. EVerything was Newark based, etc.
