damn... i looked at the april finals a bit ago and didn't see my name on there and thought i got the boot from ewn. come to find out i see this Reserve Bid Form - apparently we can bid reserve now, which i forgot about. anybody have a clue on how this is going to work?

yea remember the last update to the contract, (TA) quality of life. part of it expressed ability of hard reserve holders to be able to bid. look to the april cover letter, it has a date that the reserve lines are due, as well as when the lines (reserve) are awarded.

reserve bids distributed march 22 by 1700
reserve bids due march 24 @ 1200
reserve final awards march 24 @ 2000

well i remember that going into effect, but i have no clue on how to bid for the days, i'm sure i'll figure it out by messing around... i just got scared when i didn't see my name on the april finals.

So, does anybody have a correct answer for this question: Lets say I am working the last three days in March and the april reserve line I have bid and get awarded has me working the first four days of April which would make it seven days on duty. What are they going to do with that??
I'm sure they have thought about it but just curious if anybody has posed this question yet.

well looks like the reserve lines are posted. you can view them on the website like you would the hard lines.

They will modify the April line to make you legal! If they forget and it is posted on the final awards you will be paid for all 7 days, and then get a day off with pay!

That's my question, I was just looking at all two of the lines I had to choose from and realized the golden days are built in the lines. So much for having ANY life or ability to plan ahead while on reserve.

Well apparently they will move your days off around so you have a bullsnot bunch of 1 day on 3 day reserve crap. I'm trying to find my copy of te TA right now. Also, any idea why I would get the line that someone senior to me bid for? We're both kinda confused about that one.

Anybody look at that "Employee Culture Survey" on the company website? I'll be interested to see the results of that (not that it will change anything).
