Pinnacle's contracts with NWA and DAL contain solid protections in the event of a merger. There are certainly DCI carriers that have cause for concern, but Pinnacle really isn't one of them.

Pinnacle is in a unique position in that it already serves both masters, but ultimately the only solid protection in that segment of the industry is a willingness to do it for less than the other guy is making.

As an ASA pilot, the arbitrated rates for Captain are very respectable. The FO rates can hopefully be improved to 60% of Captain rates. They are in the ballpark and should not hurt any other carrier. If they can be improved when the contract is closed, even mo better! Now, get some good work rules--we support you in your efforts!

The only thing I'm trying to prove here is that you are full of sh*t. I believe the new PCL rates are still south of where everyone in the industry needs to be but unfortunately they are right in the middle.
