Hey all,

Here it is: I was looking at the payscales on airlinepilotcentral.com, and I was wondering if generally when you upgrade to CA, do you start over at Year 1 pay for CA, or do you start earning the pay for the number of years of service with the company? Just wondering.

Pay based on YOS (Years of service). If you are a 5th year F/O and upgrade to Captain, you start at 5th year pay for Captains.

There are some exceptions, like Emirates, where you get knocked back down to Year 1 for Captain pay upon upgrading.

Yep he is right

Just felt it needed to be said so we could all see my avatar again.
