Hourly pay rate comparison for MAJORS and LCC's in the United States based on 12 year captain pay on Narrow Body Equiptment. Pretty interesting numbers! Pilot pay at the majors has definately gone downhill! It's amazing what CH11 and out pilots union will let managment get away with. Southwest, JetBlue and Fronteir now pay more than Delta, NWA, USAIR, and UAL on similar fleet types.

12 YEAR CAPTAIN PAYSCALE: MAJORS/LCC’S (A320, A319, 737)

1) SOUTHWEST $190/HR (737)
2) CONTINENTAL $163/HR (737-8)
3) AMERICAN $158/HR (737-8)
4) FRONTIER $157/HR (A-319)
5) ALASKA $154/HR (737-8)
6) JETBLUE $151/HR (A-320) based on 85 hr. line at 1.5 over 70hrs
7) DELTA $149/HR (737-8)
8) NORTHWEST $137/HR (A-320)
9) AMERICA WEST $134/HR (A-320)
10) USA 3000 $133/HR (A-320)
11) SPIRIT $130/HR (A-319)
12) UNITED $129/HR (A-320)
13) US AIRWAYS $125/HR (A-320)

Now management will have no excuse. Costs are pretty darn close now they will actually have to manage a company.
