Hello.....
Does anyone know if Compass pays you during ground school???

Also, do they provide lodging during ground school?

Why would you go to work for anyone that doesn't pay you in training or put you in a hotel? Most regionals are paying bonuses right now.

I believe they give you a computer program, you study at home and show up at the sim 3 weeks later.
As far as pay, I don't know.

18 hours of pay during the home study. Then hotel, guarantee and per diem during systems & sim in Montreal.

True, plus two or three days of indoc 'training day' pay of things you have to do in person at MSP. The other catch is you only get paid for each training day. If there's no delay in your sim, IOE, etc. then you should be OK, but if there's a delay in aircraft deliveries, who knows. Actually I don't know if you get a guarantee after sim/checkride or after IOE.

Someone shed some light?

No jet time/jet PIC or live in a redtail city? Compass might be worth the ramen noodles, 36 A/C scheduled but the end of 2008.

Sanche......RTFQ,,,,,thats why Im asking.

Your questions give the impression you have some interest in flying for the company. Otherwise, why would you waste your time starting a thread? You are an idiot if you go there regardless of the hotel and pay in training.

No, he is an idiot if he doesn't look into it, given his experience.

Should he go to Mesa, get that wonderful bonus you mentioned, start out at $19/hr and wait 3-4 years for an upgrade?

Why go somewhere else when you have an opportunity to make 100 on a list that will be ~400, upgrade in decent equipment lightning fast, fly under a better than average ALPA contract, etc??

I don't see a reason not to look into street CA positions, or companies with 2-3 month upgrades. Especially when you have more than 2,500 hrs, are ages away from upgrade at your current company, or want to live and work in the same town.

Unless, it's a GoJet type deal.

The pay scales are quite similar to Eagle's . It only took them 18+ years and numerous contract negotiations to get them there.
