DPE. The best job ive ever had! and the time is not logged so it will not count against your annual monthly or weekly times at an airline. Plus it makes guys like PBR really mad cause they try to get you in trouble with the Feds when you kinda are one ha ha hah ah a

DPE? I wish, those guys make bank. I knew one who was booked to the gills, and it was all cash. Not really sure how to go down that road, however I'd say I'm grossly unqualified.

Substitute teaching... low cost to get qualified (usually $100 for the background check), flexible schedule (they call when they need you, if you can't do it, say no), and I'm sure you could request a downtown school in the ATL so the kids could help you with those "freestyle" skillz u r lookn 4 yo.

PWND

Seriously if you live in California or anywhere that pays for recycling just go around and find CRV bottles and cans and turn them in...MONEY BABY!
Let me guess you are recruiting recyclers for that idiot Obama who is gonna change the world. Too funny...

Being a DPE is great! look up the requirements you might be suprised to see you could be qualified... getting the designation complete is another story but WELL worth the time invested. the hardest qualification for most guys is 300 pic last 12 months.. it is somewhat seasonal and economy based... but a great part time gig with better than full time pay.

I got hired as a substitute for Cobb County ISD and there was no background check fee. I still have to do orientation though so hopefully it doesn't come up there....

Substituting is actually something I thought about. But I think it only pays $80 a day. I don't know if that is enough to put up with the crap from the kids that would probably come along with it.

But check it, my freestyle skillz could probably benefit from it fo shiiiiiz. Word.

Hey, what kind of background do you need to do part time substitute teaching?

I thought one needed a state teaching license or something. Maybe even their masters.

HAHAHA this is ATL man. You don't need no stinking degree. They are happy just to have a warm body standing in front of the classroom.

I read the website for the elementary school a couple miles up the street (Dekalb County) and only 10% of the teachers actually have college degrees. Pretty sad.

wow. that's incredible and sad. A few friends became teachers, but you're required to have at least a BA and need to finish the Masters within 5 years. The NYC Board of Education requires this, at least for teachers. Not sure about the subs, but would think it would be required to at least possess a BA.
