Kids Moving?
I just hope they don't have children and drag them around with them.
Actually, as a kid, moving was quite fun.
You got to really p!ss off the neighborhood bully, then you were gone. I've corrected instructors on locations of various historical sites because I got to visit them. I spent one year in elementary school just taking standardized tests (4 schools, 2 states, and happened to hit all of them at the right time, by the end of the year, faced with another month of school before vacation and they were having their ***** tests, we got to skip school with our parents' blessing. I was ready to run someone through with a #2 pencil.). I know which school systems in this country are up to par and which ones are not, and why.
I have friends in all 50 states and around the world that I met growing up.
I got to see the best and the worst of what the U.S. has to offer.
I know at my age where I want to live for the rest of my life. (HINT: No tornados, high humidity, 265 days of rain, snow, cold, or 6 months of fog, but earthquakes and 110 F are fine)
I know which ocean is warmest, and what time of the year to visit.
I've learned to survive without electricity and other comforts due to experiencing hurricanes, blizzards, tornados, fires, earthquakes, floods, and other minor/major disasters. The generator in the garage can power my place for a week on one tank of gas.
I know the difference between good and bad real estate, and can typically find a home that is quiet, comfortable, and structurely sound.
I can pack for a month using just one small suitcase, a week's worth of clothing and entertainment will fit easily into a carry-on.
And I am not tied to one place or possessions, having minimal stress added if ever needed to relocate for work or whatever. A house is just a pile of wood/brick and other stuff, it's the people inside that matter.
Fly SAFE!
