J. Pappagiorgio is gone! Replaced by Chip Durham of Express Jet.
Anybody know if this guy hates pilots as much as Pappagiorgio did? What is his track record Expressjet guys?

I just read the email on ourasa. Apparently he is our(XJT's) director of dispatch. IMO our dispatch department overall is very good. They do miss things here and there(my last trip was a DX cluster ********************; 2 missed REQUIRED alternates, 2 missed weight restrictions due to icing takeoff's out of DEN, 1 alt that didnt need to be there(coupled with missing the icing takeoff penalty) leading to an even larger weight restriction than was needed), but those were individual dispatcher issues.

I dont know how bad your dispatch guy was for you all to actually know who he is, but for nobody at XJT to know who this guy is means he hasnt royally ********************ed something up and generally does a good job. The guys that do a good job at XJT generally NEVER get recognized and are thus largely unknown.

ASA needs some changes, no argument there. With this new guy taking over the training dept., thats the one area I hope there are NO changes!! IMO we have a excellent training dept from the program manager to the instructors. I'll admit there are one or two instructors who might be classified as a--holes, but the majority are excellent IMO. ASA training has always had a excellent reputation in the airline industry, both regional and majors.
