Dan,

Just my opinion, but I think you might be too quick to jump on the 'a merger with SW would be a disaster' mindset. I'm not sure that would be the case. I think it could be a good thing for both companies and the pilots.

Sorry red, but both Dan and I have been around the patch with a lot of different airlines, and we know what flying for a SWA type of airline is like. I agree with him: a merger with HA would be a disaster for our pilots, and because we're so much smaller than SWA, it would be not much of a change for yours. There is nothing SWA could offer our pilots that would be an improvement on our current situation, so I am among those hoping it doesn't happen. This is nothing against all of you there at SWA. You decided to work there, and I'm happy for you that you enjoy your job. I chose to work for the kind of airline that HA is, and I'm happy here. How about we both agree to let our separate pilot groups be happy... separately.

I meant no ill-will HAL, and I understand you position better now that you posted that. It's a coin toss whether anything happens and definitely out of our control.

It's just a ploy to send the 60+ year old pilots out with a heart attack after they stuff their faces with a double pepperoni three times in one month.

There's a thought.

I usually just use the code PCL128 and that gets me about 2% off. Usually those pizzas taste stale and make me sick.

Sorry Arcadia that code is only good at 5 star steakhouses in Herndon, VA. If you look at the America Eagle ALPA receipt you'll see it applied to the bottom. Good for $42 off the $2100 bill.

So how is it that one with 10 years at AirTran and is a senior captain in ATL is now just a lowly SWA FO in PHX? I mean, what happened there?
