If given the choice, which would you take? The upgrade is a bit faster at Braniff but the uniforms look really cool at Pan Am. I have offers from both and can't make a decision to save my life .... am hoping that someone here can point me in the right direction.

Can you also help me decide this paper/plastic dilema. Thanks for you help!

you'd never be fortunate enough to fly with either one of the legendary carriers.

go get your shinebox, kid, and polish the shoes of those who pioneered at 2 of the greatest airlines in the history of the industry.

Braniff. Believe it!

Dang it, I can't get the hyperlink to work. Go to airliner.net and search Braniff and type "sucks" in the search box.

I thought I just fell into a time warp and that my dream was going to come true - Pan Am was the best but the company now flying their colors is a FAKE!! I wouldn't even take a free ride if they were the only company flying to my destination.

The the dead rest in peace!!

Baja.

I have an old Pan Am ramp jacket hanging in my closet. Pan Am is our industry's grandfather. I wish I had been born 40 years earlier.

Goldfish--nice Meyers.

Personally--I want to stay domestic. I'm looking at Ozark verses Southern....

No pun intended...just poor proofreading.

Meyers folks swear they were about the best GA plane produced. Tough, fast, and sexy. You don't have to apologize for being a messageboard whore--just sign up at the detox center with the rest of us.

I hear ya dude...i'm halfway through a twelve pack of Corona's now...2nd year regional FO pay...no more Keystone for me.

The Meyers was the greatest GA plane ever produced...so much more sexy than a Bonanza and faster. I have a few hours in a Meyers 145 that, at one time, belonged to GM (went west on 800)

Its a bad airplane...sign me up for detox.

I have three buddies down the street I drink beer with on occasion... two are retired Braniff mechanics and one is long-retired AA; a post WW2 guy.

Let me tell you, they tell stories that will make you want to weep bitter tears over our industry, how it was, and how it could be. They should make money doing guest speaker tours to PFT groups, pilot mills, and others who don't have a clue beyond the fact that they want to fly a jet, and will do anything to do so.
