Attention Current or Recent CRJ Pilots:

Our team of human factors researchers from George Mason University and the University of Central Florida are offering you the opportunity to participate in a paid aviation research study. Payment is on an hourly basis; there are two studies, one lasting 3 hours and another for approximately 4 hours.

Experiment 1 involves watching a short video and taking a series of performance measurements.

Experiment 2 involves a series of tests and performance measures.

All of the information we collect from you during the study will be kept completely confidential.

Currently, the study is being held at two locations: The George Mason Campus in Fairfax, Virginia and the University of Central Florida Campus in Orlando, Florida. If you are not near either of these locations, we would be willing to travel if there are at least 5 people in the area who would like to participate in the study.

We know that your time is valuable, so day, evening, and weekend appointments are available to fit your schedule.

For more information about the study or to schedule an appointment, please contact [email protected] or call 703-993-1714. If you have any friends who might be interested, please feel free to pass this notice along.

Thank you.

My apologies for leaving that off! Pay is 25$ an hour. There are two experiments: the first lasts 3 hours, while the second lasts four hours (we generally have our pilots come in two separate days). A pilot who participates in both studies can expect to make $175 for their time. Pilots who wish to be in only one study can also participate.

Hope that helps!

WOW,
You Mesa guy can get paid more per hour flying this Research expeiriment than you do at work!!!

Being located in central Florida, you should be able to find participants that will pay you to participate in your study if it has to do with a CRJ.

I heard people were buying CRJ types down there. HA!

Hi all -

If you're interested, please forward your contact information to [email protected].

In response to the earlier question, because the funding is on a grant, we have to account for the $175 we pay. So there is a W-9 involved. Sorry.

Look forward to hearing from any interested pilots!
