I think the reason guys are leaving CX for UPS is for the same reason guys left UPS for UAL, DL, AA (pre 9-11). Although they had a pretty good deal at UPS, they still could find a better gig somewhere else.
 
FedEx requires that you must have resided in the US the last 5 consectutive years to you getting hired. Has to do with the Postal contract. If you work in China it will make FedEx a moot point for you.

You could get around that by maintaining a US address. I know, it would screw up your US tax-free situation, but what is it you're trying to accomplish at the end of the day?
