I've been offered a job in China flying cargo in a heavy. The pay is way better than any ACMI trash hauler can offer me as a frst year F/O. The schedule is a lot easier too. They will pay my living expenses (3 bd/apartment & utilities), and since I will be out of the country for more than 330 days it will be all tax free.
Now I plan on doing this gig for a year or two and then coming back to the US with a lot of $$ saved up. My question is this:
How do the US employers view potential employees being gone out of the country for 2 years in relation to doing a background check?
Would it be difficult to get a job because I wasn't flying under FAR121?
If you've ever done something like this let me know I would be interested in hearing what you have been through.
