I think everyone laughed when they read that! Jeez, just what we want to do since most of our bases have crap for schedules.

Lets see crap for schedules and instead of spending time with your family and friends over the holidays they think you will just try and get on a flight to help a bunch of pissed of pax at our hubs.

No Postive Space and no Pay for it! I bet they probably laughed in SBY after they typed that up.

You have to start at the bottom PDT managment. First you fix our schedules and make lines more commutable. Then you treat your employees with more respect. Then you can have the balls to ask people to do some crazy crap for the company.

All of the new FOs are getting them. We don't have a uniform allowance, so they want us to pay for them on our own. They are giving us till April 2009 to get our new uniforms and I give it a 50/50 chance that Piedmont will be around in 2009.

Started getting them with the 2nd April class or the first May class under the guise of "testing the distribution of the new uniform supplier". Cheap looking black uniforms with strips that are similar to United guys... Holy ********************, that's why we are getting new uniforms... Merger with United by April 2009!!!! Looks like they put out a new first officer job posting on the web site with higher mins than just your com/multi...its all the way up to 300tt now! and the posting, (dated 11/16) makes sure to mention that we have a "flowthru" with mainline (yes, they are calling the preferential hiring a flowthru in the posting)

well they're actually telling the truth. we do have a flowthrough agreement. they just forgot to mention that we're getting dicked out of it (but we can have an interview with no guaranteed time off), just like we got dicked out of jets and we'll also get screwed out of LTP's. they'll go to Colgate.

The memo says 25 / month through 2008.

Okay, I guess that comes out to about 300 pilots. Since most are low time I would figure about 20 month get thru. Now your down to about 240 pilots.

With a a bunch of people going to Compass and Republic to fly the Big Shiney RJ, I would say out of those 300 we will have about 140 left by the end of the year.

So basically we have to hire 300 pilots to keep 150 for about a year.

"try" to hire "up to" 25 a month is more like it... Not like they'll ever get that many in a month. Unless it's 2 classes a month, with 15+ applicants per date.
