Well, let's see here...
I'm not a frax pilot either, but some desolate places i have been to are:
Rock Springs, WY - The armpit of the earth.
Stowe, VT - It's only fun in winter and you have to like to ski.
Seymour, IN - WWII Air Force base turned industrial park/GA airport. Not too much there but the pilot lounge is nice.
Sidney, NE - The only redeeming quality of this place is that Cabela's sporting goods superstore will come pick you up from the airport.
