But how many got called to fill the 8 spots? Just wondering if some of the folks found better gigs and bypassed this time around.

Onetimer is correct. They go back to the top everytime they recall and when they get to the end of the list they hire off the street. The most jr man only gets one shot.

If what you said is true then if they needed 1 recall and they call the most senior furloughed guy and he bypasses and they called the next and he bypassed as well and that kept going until the most junior guy got called and he said no cause he has a better job anyway then they hire off the street and every single furloughed pilot is out on their ear?

That's how it works? Everyone gets canned if everyone bypasses and there's no second chance?

Did you ride the short bus to school?
You can't be serious.

They keep going through the list over and over again until they get the pilots they need each time the junior man being cut from the list if they ever get to the bottom. They start each round of recalls with the most senior pilot on the furlough list.

With this last recall, I don't know how many were called to get the 8 needed. I'm sure that will come out soon.

No, I rode my bicycle to school as I lived too close to be eligible for the bus, but I don't see how thats relevant here.

The guy said they asked the most junior furloughed pilot and then hired off the street. If that were strictly true then whats the status of the more senior guy who bypassed. See? Hiring off the street with more senior guys furloughed? Nobody said anything about going back through the list over and over. You are the first to bring that up. How many times do they do that? 2? 50? 100?

Wouldn't it just be easier to just go down the list once, allowing bypasses and then go back up the list if needed and don't allow bypasses. When that's done then hire of the street.

Bicycle riders unite.

There are senior pilots that have bypassed 3 times now and will still bypass till the the most jr pilot comes back to work or bypasses, then they will hire off the street. It the CBA!

According to the CEO's weekly message today it looks Flight Options is recalling another 8 pilots today. All are going to the Beechjet as FO's.

jetwash, with respect I believe that you may have misunderstood the weekly message. It is a bit misleading, which is usually managements style by making things look more prosperous. But I think Mike wanted to welcome back another group of 8 pilots (7 recalled and 1 on military leave) that will be going through orientation next week. These are the 8 openings that was announced at the end of last month and at the beginning of this thread. This group makes a total of 24, or the third group of 8 that have been recalled.

I hope this adds some clarity to this thread, and is just the beginning of all of them coming back quickly.

Maybe he was doing the official announcement today what everyone know about 2 weeks ago.

8 pilots to the CX
16 to the Beechjet

for a total of 24 called back.
