Hey just curious if anyone knows what that 757 open skies/British airways is doing at the delta hanger in Atlanta.

DL does a lot of mx for other carriers at the TOC. Mucho profitable.

So long as it didn't say "from: Brittish Airways to: Delta", you're OK.

I thought the BA 757's had RR engines, not the Pratts.

Yup, they have RR's. It's not an a/c trade, DL does mx for quite a few other airlines.

It's not uncommon to see 4 or 5 other airline aircraft over at the TOC getting some ATL lovin.

"Open Skies" used to be that French carrier Avion, with the purple paint job. BA bought the company, routes, airplanes etc but is staffing them with BA pilots.

Its coming to ATL, DL pilots were promised a .02% raise if they let all there 757 flying be done by another carrier. But the raise only come if DL makes a profit including one time charges.

Not too sure about the "staffing with BA pilots" part.... last I heard, the pilots are not from BA.

Not true. The BA pilots are getting their own little very hard lesson about scope clauses as the result of Open Skies.

The problem is that they still fail to fully understand the consequences of their inaction on this matter.....the good news, however, is that Open Skies isn't performing very well.
