Hello all,
Recently, someone representing themselves as an ATA pilot has made some pretty nasty statements. I, for one, would like to believe that this person is actually NOT an ATA employee. However, if they are, I would like to apologize on behalf of the pilots of ATA.
I have been at ATA for 6 years now and have met and flown with some of the most wonderful people I have the honor to call coworkers. From our gate agents, to our ramp people as well as our maintenance personnel, our flight attendants, the "behind the scene people" and of course, the cockpit crewmembers. They all, in my opinion, personify what it means to be a consummate professional. If this thing goes away, I will truly miss every one of you. (well, almost).
In the meantime, please STOP bashing each other. We need to work together to preserve what little of this industry has not been decimated by fuel prices, overcapacity and of course, mismanagement. We will survive one way or the other.
For the AirTran folks, know that this "person" has been bashed heavily by their peers at ATA on our website. Hopefully, they have learned not to put their foot in their mouth or they will get a foot up their....! It's amazing what people will say when they can remain annoynomous
Thank you all for your time.
