To the best of my ability to collect information, the following is an estimate of DA-20 F/O on-demand cargo pay. USA Jet pays by the hours flown and the other companies pay by the miles flown. To do a comparison it is estimated that the Falcon flies at an average of 400 SM per hour. If these numbers are incorrect, I will be glad to change as necessary. Captains pay scale to follow. USA Jet pay is based upon a first year F/O pay goes up $2.04/hr per year after the second year. I do not know if the other companies make longevity increases.

Would be interesting to see the average hours per month/per F/O flown over the last six and/or twelve months compared as well. Anybody?

Anyone seen the ProPilot Pay survey?

I can no longer just read.... (Thank you moderators for finally getting me on this here thingy!)

Good work Pilotyip.. I just hope your intentions are pure and wonder if/why you are posting this publicly, or is this going up the flagpole in YIP?

So, since USAJ is the "premier" (sorry mgts words) on-demand and only fly aircraft when yields are high versus volume, you can see that base pay no longer at 65 now 50 (basically a salary, hourly rate is only for the RARE RARE RARE event a pilot broke 65hrs in the falconga,) there is a HUGE pay disparity at USAJ (care to post the DC-9 base pay!)... and now there is a memo about pilots paying for their own CASS system.. Man the pilots need to respond with an imprint of their shoe on that memo.

Does anyone have access to the latest issue of Professional Pilot where they do the salary survey? If so please post the DA20 (since that is the basis for discussions) LOW/AVG/HIGH for Captain and FO!

Quit lecturing USAJ pilots about unity, loyalty, and the mission statement. Just give pilots back their dignity/worth and quit adding insult to paycut! The fact there are pilots showing up for work and not running away in droves is amazing (but maybe it takes time to get new jobs and leave, and the exodus is just a little ways away) or it could be that the USAJet mgt had lunch with old pals around the field in fears that pilots just may want to leave after being trashed... but that barrier is officialy in place in YIP for USAJ pilots, so pilots will have to look further away. Nice way to thank people for their loyalty through the years!!! By the way how is projection for JULY?

Despite some of the rants on here, the on-demand pilots are all one big family on the road... The goings on between all the companies is public knowledge on the road. One of the best aspects of the on-demand industry is the brotherhood between on-demand pilots.

This posting was purely to collect information to compare what we have to the rest of our industry. To answer question about who is the the lowest or highest pay in the industry. Pretty pure and simple, and if need be it can be a basis to correct an inequity. Another good question , how many on-demand 135 companies are paying CASS membership fees for thier pilots? The USA CASS membership process was intiated by the pilots, good idea, I am certainly going to join.

hey YIP, can you throw out a number over the board pertaining to how much CASS membership was/is for each crewmember and any info on how an airline goes about joining CASS?

FG

pilotyip, thanks for the pm.

So did your research find USAJ pilots the lowest or highest paid? Is their an inequity that is going to be corrected?

The CASS is near and dear to my heart as well! So its not just reaganomics we both love. The TSA banned the use of the flightdeck jumpseat(s) to offline pilots post 9/11. They do not care, nor have interest in spending their money in develpong a system that allows pilots to be able to extend a courtesy and "catch a ride" home. So the dreaded ALPAs/APA/SAPA/Teamster unions spent the money to develope a system to restore the cockpit jumpseats. So now it is online working and APPROVED by the TSA. Airlines are putting their pilots on it to enhance security in their systems and only have to deal with one easy to use system. Now, this transition means airlines have two redundant systems for jumpseaters. The old inhouse systems are set to be scrapped, you are either in CASS or you are out the ability to jumpseat.

At USAJ they are fishing, knowing that many folks do not live in the area. Soon they will have three options 1) buy a ticket to get home 2)Move to YIP 3)Quit USAJ, if CASS is not joined. So if they know it is necessary to stay employed then maybe we can squeeze the pilot group more. Heck, one FO's paycut for each month will cover the monthly cost of the CASS system, and one Capts paycut for one month will cover the entire cost of the initial setup!!! If times are this desperate than screw worrying about getting your pay back at USAJ they are too cheap to even provide a continued benefit (b/c jumpseating is a current benefit.)

I have an idea, the CASS system could be a part of a retro-pay for the pilots when pay is restored in August!!!

P.S. Does anyone have any of the pilot pay surveys for Falcon CAPT & FO pay, I think it would be neat to add to the research.

The longevity increase at Kalitta Charters for F/Os is at 1 year it goes to .08mi lear .09mi DA-20. Per diem and wait time stay the same. Then about another .01 each year I think.

I believe the cpts add .01 at 6mo then .01 at year, then .01 every year after.-kingaira90

JUS overall health

How is JUS doing financially this year? I know the automobile industry took a huge dump compared to last year. How is this year compared to last in hours/miles flown? Is JUS/Active Aero a publicly traded company? If not, who ownes it?

Kinda sucks they are sticking CASS to the pilots.
