Elisabeth Shue when she was on "Call to Glory"

for anyone that cares

Sci-Fi channel is showing a 'Battlestar Galactica' miniseries in the fall, it's a "re-imagining" of the show, ala that crapfest of tim burtons 'planet of the apes'
get this, starbuck is a chick this time.....

oh, and i guess someone is gonna show a new ' V ' miniseries/show, wonder if they'll bring robert 'freddy kruger/willy the dorky alien' englund back for it, oh, and marc singer (if he doesn't have anything else to do of course)

Jenny Agutter "Logan's Run"

Heather Thomas "The Fall Guy"

Cheryl Ladd " Charlie's Angels"

Jane Seymour "Battlestar Galactica"

TV babes

I absolutely second Skyking on Mary Tyler Moore during the '60s on Dick Van Dyke. I remember when the show was new and not reruns.

Marlo Thomas.

Fast-forward ten years to some of the babes on "Dallas."

I second that! Charlene Tilton and Victoria Principal are the bomb!
Saw some some topless pics of Victoria Principal in Playboy once. mmm-nice!

For some of you, this may be before your time....

12 O'Clock High
Combat
Rat Patrol

Of course the Beverly Hillbillies and the older M*A*S*H (the ones with Radar in them).

Although this wasn't a TV show, the 3 Stooges were definitely a classic especially the ones with Curley. Moe was a working man's actor.

Here's a couple that you "kiddies" may have missed:

The greatest set of "ears" that ever graced a TV screen;
THE MICKEY MOUSE CLUB - 1955-1959

ANNETTE FUNICELLO

You just had to be there.

Most outstanding overall - contender or first place in ALL catagories;
WKRP IN CINCINNATI - 1978-1982

JAN SMITHERS

Still holding up just fine at 54. Check out the 1966 Newsweek cover.

That's right punk, I'm old but they haven't started throwin' dirt on me yet. :D :D

Glad to see that Dallas was not left out....what a show.....

I, too, was there during that era. Yes, I have received AARP mail.

How about the babes on "American Bandstand?"

With all due respect to our member and my friend, SkyKing, the original "Sky King" of '50s "Songbird" fame. I loved how he started out flying a Bamboo Bomber and upgraded to a 310.

There was a TV show during the '50s based on the "Steve Canyon" comic strip. The show was named, appropriately enough, "Steve Canyon".

"12 O'Clock High," starring Robert Lansing originally and then Paul Burke, was a wonderful series during the '60s. Yeah, they used the same aerial combat camera footage again and again, but the stories were riveting. "12 O'Clock High," the movie, starring the late, great Gregory Peck, was similarly riveting.

The "Bomber" was my favorite on that series. I think a 310 would definetly be a step down. I would trade a pair of Continentals for some "Shakey Jakes" any day. And I have also seen ALL of the Sky King episodes. Hence, my screen name, thank you very much! ;) Extra credit to the person who can name Sky King's dog...

Cheers,
Skyking (Out of the western sky...)

Yes, but she was hotter when "flying" a T-6

I can't believe that no one mentioned "McGyver"......the dude could fix anything with a roll of duct tape.

In japan I vaguely remember a show on FEN called "Flying Tigers" Kinda like the Black sheep but based on the AVG.

Nobody has brought up one of my faves yet....

Emergency! ya know, with Johnny and Roy, Squad 51, the bizarre klaxon in the station.....

About a year back it was on reruns on the TNN cable network- it would be interesting to see if SoapNet cable network could pick it up, especially since that network's currently showing its spinoff, Knot's Landing.
As for SkyKing, that was part of my regular Saturday morning viewing when I was very young...........:)
