[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]Looking for pictures of one of these T/B indicators . In straight and level fight it looks like a clock indicating six o'clock . The lower hand the one pointing towards six o'clock (in S &L flight)indicates turn direction to left or right , and like the hour indicator on a regular clock is also the shorter hand. The larger (or longer) hand (pointing towards 12 o'clock in S & L ) indicates balance.

I get confused regarding the readings of the longer hand - obviously the lower hand indicates turn direction. Say if the lower hand is indicating 5 o'clock -that is a left turn . How would you describe the aircraft configuration if the larger hand was pointing to 11 o'clock at this time - is that overbanking or underbanking

anyone know ? What if the larger hand was indicating one o'clock while the smaller hand was indicating five o'clock -how would you describe that?

I think these type of T/Bs used to be on older AC - pre WW2.

Thanks for any tips here!
