With no call YET from SWA and no NHL season so far, I have gotten an incredible ammount of honey do's done around the house. Am I just missing the box on the SWA application where your wife can check some box that gets you the direct line to Colleen, Herb, or Gary to get me out of the house and into training for a couple months? I think she is getting a little tired of me guessing when they will start interviewing "guys like me."

Two great things could happen really soon: the NHLPA could reach a TA(fantastic), and SWA could call me for an interview (better than fantastic). All I want is a shot (well, that's all I want for right now). Best wishes to all you poolies, and get to class so they can interview "guys like me"!!!

My wife would thank you!

Knelson,
I hope you get your chance at SWA soon. Its really hard to guess whats going on the the People Dept nowadays, but every rumor I hear seems to be positive. Some guys like Chase seem to have thier ear to the ground down in Dallas and are privy to the really juicy rumors but heres a few I will pass. Disclaimer: These are only hearsay; but sound reasonable.

1. Letter posted in MDW pilot lounge from our chief pilot states that training could handle 750-800 New Hires in 2005.

2. Pilot back from training in Dallas says he was told by instructor that the school house could handle a new hire class every week during 2005 if needed. Seems like a lot, doesnt say what the class size would be.

3. A large group of pilots (me included) had there training pushed up to 4 months earlier than originally scheduled from the early next year to late this year. Training said this was to redistribute the yearly training requirements because we usually hire at the beginning of the year and taper off at the end. Sounds very reasonable. But could be clearing the schedule for a busy hiring season, hopefully!

Hope to see all ya SWA hopefuls on the property soon.

You got moved

T45,

You got your training moved? I had only seen Captains up till now.

Knelson,

I feel your pain regarding both subjects! I just KNOW that this year would have been the year my LA Kings won Lord Stanley's Cup!

Oh yeah, and my phone still works. At least it did a minute ago when I checked it. I'd better check it again. Yep...still works.

Been waiting. Will keep waiting.

Slug,

Yes, I had my training moved from Feb 05, to Nov 04, up four months. All the FO's in my class, the couple classes around me and some senior FO's did also.

keep the faith

Knelson, Captainbrazillia, et al - I'm right there with you guys. Every time my phone rings my heart stops only to have to be refibulated (sp?) when it turns out to be my someone calling for my wife! On the other hand, with all the honey-do's I've been doing my house has never looked so good! Hope to see you in D in '05.

Knelson,

Tell the wife that we don't hire pilots with nagging whiney wives. Reason is, when you combine nagging whiney wives with nagging whiney flight attendants your head will explode.

RVR300:

You forgot to mention nagging whiney pilots who think that they deserve a call!

Seriously though, keep the faith knelson, captains et al.
