That was awesome! The most simple GA aircraft with the most complex piece of GA avionics! I LOVE it!

Several years ago there was an airline pilot with way too much time and money on his hands (pre-deregulation ). There was an article on the AOPA Pilot about his single seat Super Cub. It seems he had to remove the rear seat to fit all of the remote mounted avionics. His Cub had an FD-108 flight director and a PN-101 HSI, which back then was the "state of the art" - like the Garmen 1000 is today. Basicially, his Cub had the same avionics package as the B727 he flew. Now that was a waste.
