Take a long look at what your life would be like in both places. Yeah, the commute can be a drag, but that thought quickly vanishes when I walk to the back yard to go water skiing. I live 1 hour from TPA, short flight to ATL so it's pretty relaxed.

So why can't you move to the vicinity of that airport you referenced and then family can visit YOU? That's the best of both worlds. They are close enough for a day trip, but not close enough for the "Everybody loves Raymond" scenario.:)

Good thoughts. My problem is that our relatives are up there in age. Even a one hour drive would be next to impossible for a couple of them.
