Times will be great when we get all 14 of Freedom's 900's out of JFK when Mesa tanks. Down with MESA!!!!!!!!

There are alot of reasons why the E170 is popular with airline execs...
I'm taking a guess, but great lease deals from Embraer??? (New aircraft, warrantied items, low interest rate, etc.)

Actually yes the Freedom pilots could work there... Provided the pilots are brought on as contractors either independently or through a staffing agency. This is done all over the world.

Almost forgot

MESA SUCKS!!!

Actually... no. Unless Mexican laws have changed, this cannot be done. Just because it's done in some places doesn't mean it's done "all over the world".

Ironically, Mexico has some of the strictest laws in the world when it comes to allowing foreigners to work there.

He has no clue what the execs want.... None of us do. He's just talking about of his rear end.

Funny thing was all of a year ago the RAH guys were some of the coolest guys inthe world. But these new guys RAH got are just terrible. Some of the cockiest MFers out there......

Road back with a CHQ Captain out of CVG. He was talking to me about some issues and even mentions ways he could see CHQ/RAH doing furloughs at some point. His thought about it, "itd be great for some of the young guys as they are the cockiest SOB's we've had here ever." God I miss the old days of RAH and their pilots... They use to be some of the best and now they are comparable to Mesa.

I suspect there would be very real problems from the FAA who oversees the Freedom operating certificate if they decided to operate in two separate operations in two different countries simultaneously.

Nor could Freedom just drop the US certificate and start anew in Mexico. I'm sure there would be plenty of certification hurdles to get started up in Mexcio, and lets face it . . . who would want to work there as an ex-pat being paid pesos by JO? It would be about as popular and as profitable as the Chinese operation . (which is to say, neither)

Again .. . the more wild the "save us!" rumors, the closer the company is from total meltdown.

I love how this thread has drifted to "my POS regional airliner is better than your POS regional airliner." Classic Flightinfo.com. Keep it up.

What do you mean THIS thread. I do believe most of the threads on FI evolve into ""My dad can beat up your dad".
