To the pax:

You just can't be a loopy ****************************** on an airplane anymore folks. Bring your A-game to the airport. Take your meds if you are prescribed them. Have some manners too. Don't write dubious weird notes and pass them to the crew in an effort to get some of that attention that mommy never gave you. Grow up. We can't have 56 yo men acting like the class-arse.

I believe you're barking up the wrong tree, but I will entertain you. So, how will you identify the passengers that are Muslim? Should there be a requirement to identify one's religion when purchasing a ticket?

Just hand them a comment card to fill out cuz everybody knows a terrorist will fill one out with obscure references to Gilligans Island and then sign their name to it (while doing absolutely nothing in their seat btw) before they take down the plane.

Actually, I would say the better use of the lemmings analogy would be someone reading one news article and think they know enough to judge the crews actions.
I guess my explanation of the additional considerations involved with over water flying went over your head but you should understand that a willingness to make a hard decision by a Captain is a very good trait in this business. I really don't understand why some people feel the need to criticize others so quickly rather than listen with an open mind. But thinking you have the whole story by reading one news article is foolish.
