So are you boys going to walk the walk next week or what?

NWA Strike

I would like the pilots to put it up the #*ses of management...but management is so incompetent that they just might let the airline go bust. Then they could sell all the used support equipment to NEWCO. Baggage carts are bringing a good return….you know they hold their value.
I hope it all works out. They just might have to go through with it to prove they are serious. Management sees it as a bluff. Old guys want to preserve the retirement and the young ones want to meet on the battle field. Our industry watches. Good luck NW.

...You gotta be kidding,.....1000 of our pilots don't even vote!!!! every time!

...noo,..we'll just keep bending over, and take it like real "cowboys".....

The Judge, Mgmt & ALPA will be in court in NYC tomorrow, Feb 24th.

The Judge will make his final ruling...... (hopefuly, without another f%#*&^ extention).

The ALPA strike vote will be tallied on Feb 28th.

Remember to keep all hands and feet inside until the ride comes to a complete stop.

I'm already writing the script for Broke Back Mountain 2 (The Airline Years). I'm sorry it was there for the taking.

I expect another extension, especially since they say they are making progress. This thing should be rapped up by Feb 28 of 2015.

I would hope the Judge just locks them in a room..... until an agreement is hammered out.

How loooong can this drag out ?

Everyone is ready to shave their head & join a cult already.

If the contract is rejected, they will strike. No doubt about it.

Can the company or the administration prevent a strike?

Neither the company or the administration will be able to prevent it. The Norris-Laguardia Act specifically prevents Federal Courts from enjoining a strike. In the context of a contract rejection the right to strike has never been denied, not even for airlines.

Whether it comes to that has yet to be determined. With significant progress being made in negotiations, the judge will most likely allow the process to run its course with a possible TA in the near future.

Whether the TA will pass and what happens if it doesn't is a whole nother ball game.

No chance, no strike.

I didn't even notice until 320AV8R quoted him (I have Friend on "ignore"), but for the first time, I agree with him.

They've made a LOT of last-minute headway, and this judge has shown TWICE that he has NO intention of ruling if they'll settle it on their own.

Since they've made progress, I've got $20 the judge says "You guys have another week to work it out." I think the judge will KEEP ON saying this until both sides come in and say they've made absolutely no progress and have no interest in negotiating further.

The judge has issued another extension. New deadline is Wed., March 1.

I don't ignore anyone. Sometimes the people you dismiss have a unique viewpoint...... with important information that brings in another angle....... a lot of times their ideas are better than mine.
