NWA ANTICIPATES RECALLING 40-50 PILOTS THIS YEAR (8/01/06)

NWA informed ALPA today that it anticipates recalling pilots sooner than previously scheduled due to higher than anticipated flying levels. NWA said it plans on recalling 40 to 50 pilots for the remainder of 2006 and it expects recalls to continue at a reduced, but steady pace throughout 2007 to support growth and attrition. NWA will begin the recall process by sending out 75 Preliminary Notices of Recall (PNRs) this week and plans to have 20-25 pilots in training this October. As always, please remember that NWA's staffing plan may change. Currently, there are about 700 Northwest pilots on furlough.

(Hopefully, the Early Out program will help increase the number of recalls):)

Welcome back.

Our Airline's name has changed from Northwest Airlines to Scab Air.
Our passengers prefer the new name and we do not have to advertise our product anymore.

Take it easy on the mechanics.

We cant help it if they worked during the pilot's strike.

I think the pilots are the scabs this time around.

I think pw4000 STILL does not know the definition of the word. Please tell us what struck work NWA pilots are performing.

Thanks

He can't, because we're not.

He might think your a SCAB in the sense that you crossed the picket line of NWA MX.

If you look back to 1989 EAL pilots honored their MX strike (it was not the pilots contract in dispute), and every pilot who crossed that line is a SCAB.

The only difference, was that the EAL pilots went out for MX, you all did not. Lets see what you all do in the coming weeks?
