Heyas,

For those with the 'real' leather jackets (those bought from the approved vendor) and you wanted to sell, the company bought them back at full retail. I think they donated them at that point.

They were actually VERY nice jackets. No name tag fuzzy spot on the front, and a very nice embroidered NWA logo on the inside, along with your name. If you took the epaulets off, you'd never know it was anything other than an ordinary jacket.

Lots of folks kept theirs for this reason, but lots sold them back, also.

I have never been a fan of the Leather Jacket. IMO, the Blazer looks much more professional. Glad to see it go.

My unprofessional leather jacket kept me real warm on the walk arounds at ORD in the dead of winter. I guess I could have worn my overcoat and looked like a Flight Attendant.

I did not say the Leather Jackets looked unprofessional. I said,

Agreed. First time I saw it in DTW I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Nothing says classy like a black jacket with blue pants...

I know I'm going to catch a lot of crap for this but ... I think the Delta pilot uniform is the most professional looking in the entire global airline industry.

Now, please continue to wax on about how comfortable leather jackets are. Whilke you're at it, let's wear old man sneakers and polo shirts.

It was OK maybe 25 years ago, no better or worse than most others. But its time to update! (And I don't mean those dorky leathers either. In fact, I really don't know what will work. I'll leave that to the designers in the crowd.)

The uniform is outdated, as is the double breasted suit in general. Then you add in the folks that can't keep the fork out of their mouth. Nothing worse than a 250 pounder in that coat, gross.

I vote for same colors, single breasted, leather jacket (only ONE for all the cheap ass' out there)optional hat

Agreed! Ill take the crap along with you! The uniform looks great.

Perception is reality....
