It is in our best interest if any nwa flying is done by pilots currently on the seniority lists of nwa, mesaba, and pinnacle. Shutting the door to further outsourcing is our collective goal.
If nwa can't do their business with the approximately 7000 pilots already in the system, then they should be shut down or replaced by the court.
That is the point DTW320 is trying to make, I think. And I agree. The changes will be painful for many, but that is business.
For us at the airlink to whine about this or that is pure denial. We have NO security or career progression in the current system, and less under nwa mgmts. proposals.

NWA pilots seek to end outsourcing, and are not budging on the scope argreement.

We intend to fight any outsourcing "argreement", & all agreements as well.

Proposing a new deal that takes mainline pilots, and transfers them to a regional division under the NWA ALPA contract.

That's not even a sentence.

Joining together the mainline and regional pilots on one list.

Not a sentence either. There is NO proposal for a unified mainline / regional list. What is your source for this repeated claim ?

Under this unity, I believe we can take a step in the right direction to save this profession. Although, this will place many hardships on the current regional pilots, as over 1000 are expected to be furloughed as a result.

See comments above. There is no unified list. Cohen wants to create NEWCO SEPERATE from Pinnacle & Mesaba. Remember the great job he did with MidAtlantic ?

Sorry, there is supposed to be a semi colon in between those. I will provide some information later that supports my claim.

What are the pros and cons of a Unified Brand List?

IOW- any NWA flying will be done by NWA pilots? Too simple? Or too complex?

Who said anything about a single list that includes the Regional Pukes. Hell, they aren't even real Pilots. Most are just High School graduates that are one step away from being Whitetrash. ALPA plans to fly ALL NWA flying. We'll get a Fair Payscale now and renegotiate later. Imagine a world of only Legacy Pilots. Now don't forget to pay your DUES.

Great. Here's some that supports mine.........

The new carrier plans to purchase or lease about 60 70-seater and 45 100-seater aircraft. Northwest is looking at the Embraer 170/190 and the Bombardier CRJ700/900 models.

According to the newsletter, Northwest competitors are already using these new jets to fly some of Northwest's key domestic routes at significantly lower cost.

The new carrier would become a Northwest regional Airlink partner with Mesaba Airlines and Pinnacle Airlines, which operate 34- to 50-seat regional aircraft.
