Dripping with sarcasm..... This is a prime example why I dislike local-yocal news anyways. Poor, irresponsible journalism at its finest. A-380 my azz. sounds like a slow news day and someone wanted to stir the pot.

Yep, "Orient" worked well for Northwest for 40 years. They only dropped it in 1986 after the merger with Republic. They felt it slighted their European service.

I recall flying out of Kimpo (K-14) in the 1950's and looking down the Hahn river valley toward K-16 and seeing a couple of Red Tail DC-6's or 7's proudly sitting there on the ramp. Looked good amongst all the devestation.
