:laugh: this coming from former comair and present virgin america!:laugh:
So how goes the standing up to management for your pathetic payrates at va?
Tanker clown. Of all the ass kissing you do to the southwest guys, not to mention all the slamming you do towards Delta, and all this time to find out your some comair washout that could only get hired at virgin america? LMAO!:laugh: Keep the hits coming clown, its quite entertaining. BTW, at $44/hr you should't be lecturing anyone on pathetic payrates!Speaking of pathetic pay rates ..hows that 737 FO shuttle "B" rate ? 20,000 Hours???? Pa-lese:laugh: !!!!
Speaking of pathetic pay rates ..hows that 737 FO shuttle "B" rate ? !
1st year:
VA = $44/hr
DAL = $49/hr
2nd year:
VA = $55/hr
DAL (737 FO shuttle "B" rate-- whatever the hell that means) = $76/hr
3rd year:
VA = out of business
DAL = $89/hr
Get over Delta and move on with your life.

maybee now the pilots will have the #@lls to stand up to mgt. and get their paycuts back!
What the hell are you talking about? I've been a member of this forum for over 2 years.Absolutely hilarious!He's got a few other usernames he uses too so unless they all get banned, he has awhile before he has to shell out $10. Either way the guy is a complete loser.
Get over yourself! 12 FO 737 pay rate $105!!!! Have fun riding the right side!
Heyas,
Yup..those baaadddd old DC-9s...they suck SOOOO much fuel. Yet with a 90 strong fleet they are still out kicking a$$ and taking names.
I still say when the last 319/320/737/757/whatever is flown to the desert, a DC-9 will be waiting to take the crew back to MSP (or ATL). Hell, they ought to just paint "Timex" on the side.
Nu
Let's not get crazy here. DL and NWA made money this quarter because of some good fuel hedges. Not a great long-term business plan but better than the alternative. Having flown the -9, I , and many here, will be very glad to see it's mainline replacement announced and brought on property as soon as humanly possible.
All I can say is @_@!!!! I question your authenticity. The 9 is a beautiful machine. This is coming from a technology guru.
Gotta love the starred item receiving checklist. Talk about a machine of simplicity. Yeah NY Center can get testy because we're off by a few miles... but fu<k em, like thier opinion matters.![]()

Question whatever you want. Your right. It was a great design badly outdated now. I have a couple thousand hours on the -88/90 and have no love for it either. I'd like to see DL order a mainline replacement ASAP.
Question whatever you want. I may have more diverts to Ft Wayne in the -9 than you have hours in it.
Fail.
Loss.
-1.
Unsuccessful.
Muy mal.
Shame.
You wear a big hat though.... that's a big hat on your head.
Noserider, I don't care how many hours you have in the -9,... how many seconds do you have in Teahupoo? If you have even one, I bow in your general direction!
Cheers
Hey man, no need to post your checkride scores here.![]()

Fact is that DAL and NWA both made operational profits this quarter. That says a lot for these two companies.
Wow you really are a stalker!! See you on the next sign in?? Dude get some help while there's still time!I'd ask you what 12th year pay is at virgin america, but I already know the answer------>FURLOUGHED. Way to set the standard with your stellar pay tanker clown. See you on the next sign in.
Hell of a job this Q. Makes you wonder once the combo is complete, how other airlines will compete?
You need to take a look at the swa earnings, if you look at operating income vs expenses the still made money. what you should be asking is how will everyone compete with the swa.imp:

SWA did a great job, but I think the poster you quoted was referring to airlines that fly more than just domestic. SWA can't/will not compete on a global level, but they do have everyone beat domestically hands down.
737pylt, Scope out RJ's, Midge, etc..= waaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaHow many other names you got Bill??

Very uncharacteristic statement from you, super- a friendly "slam" at DAL? (ps thanks for reminding us you're smaller--nice, "friendly" touch) To my knowledge yours is the first post on any forum by a NW guy bragging about the 2nd Q results vs. Delta. (I have been looking) I'm pleasantly surprized it took this long (2 days) and even more surprized it came from you, normally a paragon of harmony and optimism on the NWA side. You (and others) seem to be irrationally, almost paranoically, defensive of your airline and especially of the dc-9. Relax...you probably won't be forceably displaced to the nightmarish category of JFK International wide-body F/O, and have to suffer through layovers on the Cote d' Azur, or Athens or Venice or Tel-Aviv, etc...and be slapped with the added indignity of a 25% or so payraise. Nor will you be displaced to any (and every other category position at the combined company) that will pay more, is more efficient, has better QOL, and has better technology than the dc-9. But it's not about you, but "our" company, right? You're right, maybe we should keep all the 9's (or maybe get more) so that the NW side can continue to show an operating profit! And you can continue with the 9 hour L.O.'s in Minot. Yes, super, you are splitting hairs in a friendly...but highly illogical manner, both for yourself and your company. How much less would your profits have been had your pilots been paid DAL rates--and how much more would your profits have been had your dc-9's been some other comparable aircraft manufactured...lets see..-in the last decade and a half of the last century!Lets not get crazy, NWA did make more than DAL did after all (ps we're smaller)So the DC9 isnt the anchor some people like to label it as. just splitting hairs in a friendly manner
