General Redneck,

You obviously have envy issues. If you haven't noticed, there are more than single seat jets in our air force's inventory. There are a few bucketheads with big mouths out there, but they do not represent the whole military aviation community.

tim - G. Lee's perception of flying for DAL is like the equivalent of pitching for the Yankees. He just can't realize that is ain't all that cool. All his comparisons should be taken with a very large grain of salt as they are so skewed, it's ridiculous.

Do we really NEED ex Military guys at Delta? Guess what? We don't fly in formation or drop bombs. I would think we would much rather have an experienced regional guy who knows how to haul people around, instead of guys who want to pull G's with the "sexy stews....." and then go to the O Club to sing Dubee Brother songs. A few we can tolerate, many would be HECK.

Yep, General it was tough for me to figure out how to haul people around. I believe on my first IOE trip it took about 4 minutes and 15 seconds to get used to it. You know how I figured out how to do it? Fly the airplane and magically the "people you haul" get to their destination. Amazing huh?? I know, crazy concept.

And unfortuantely the Dubee (which I know you meant Doobie) Brothers are not in our repetoire of songs at the O'club - which of course you wouldn't have the first clue of. Luckily at CAL it's the same - we can tolerate a few people LIKE YOU, but many would be HECK. And even those few are far too many.

Northwest will not be able to be picky. With a contract that is like a regional contract or worse, with pay not reaching the senior rj pay until year 10 or so, combined with the toxic atmosphere and garden spot bases my guess is the qualifications and quality of people that get hired will look drastically different than past hiring cycles. JMHO

Cobra's right. In this cycle competitive = minimums, at least at NWA.

But look on the bright side. If you DO get hired at NWA, you should be well trained for the Involunary Bobsled to Compass event in the 2010 Olympics.
