They're ignoring this thread.............................nobody over there wants to admit to the spineless representation they currently have!
First, that TA........................Now this!

Hardly.

I think the vote was a mistake.

I think your characterization is too.

See? Lots of mistakes happening.

First: responses have been posted to the same thread in the Regional section....

Second: since the posts here are the only "information" available, many are probably electing to reserve judgement until more FACTS are known.

Third: since you say "nobody over there...", I presume you don't work at NWA, so why do you give a sh!t what happens over there ?

He should give a sh!t, because he works at Mesaba, and whatever happens at NWA, is going to affect his career.

Did you forget back in 98

Certificate of Solidarity

The Airline Pilots Association and the Northwest Master Executive Council recognize you, as a Mesaba pilot, for the unity, support, and sacrifice demonstrated by you and your fellow pilots throughout the 1998 Northwest Pilot's strike. On behalf of the 6,388 Northwest Pilots, and ALPA's 52,598 members we wish to express our gratitude and appreciation.

Thank You

Don't know if he really voted agaist, but if he did, it's not right

I understand your point, but have to say "not necessarily".

Our regional contracts are up for bid, & 8 carriers have entered the fray.

Who knows who will eventually procure that flying.

Occam,
Maybe my characterization is inaccurate, but it doesn't look good for any of us XJ, NWA or 9E when you are facing a TA like you are at present, or your rep sends a message like this to XJ people. You may not like your regional partners, but that's your business. The alternative may be worse.
If you apply occam's razor to this situation, what do you get? We would all love to know the rationale behind the vote, please share.
By the way, I do give a sh!t - do you guys give a sh!t about XJ's bk and its' repercussions for YOU?

I e-mailed the rep. It was a screw-up. He wasn't the only one who did it. The confusion comes from entering the number of roll-call votes a rep wants to enter, instead of a simple "YES" or "NO". He has contacted Tom Wychor about it.

The resolution passed. The issue is settled. Lesson learned.

I like my Airlink partners a lot. I'm proud of the flow-thru. It's been too long coming.

Alright! Somebody "gets" Occam's Razor! Props to Rossa!

Oh...here's what I get: If the result looks like a mistake, and it could be a mistake...it is most likely a mistake.

In this case, Occam's Razor validates.

Yes! I think the upstreaming of cash by MAIR is criminal. I think the repercussions for us could be significant.

I wish the best for MSA and PCL pilots.

Occam,

Glad to hear it was just a screw-up.

Now....................How about a hug?

Rossa

Ok! A "man hug"* would be appropriate.

* Man Hug Rules:
- Contact above the waist only.
- Faces turned away.
- 3 brisk and audible pats on shoulder blades.
- Back off quickly and talk football.

I want to go on record: I done been getting the Occam's Razor thing.

When I registered here, I kind of wanted to call myself Heisenberg -- but I just wasn't sure.

Then Belated, but Simple Props to you!

AileronGirl picked-up on it too.

(I got a "C" on a paper I did on it in college.

Um...you mean you weren't certain?

Do you know exactly where you are?

Of course that's what I meant -- I just thought that would be too obvious.

Do you know exactly where you are?

I did until I looked. And now I also don't know where I'm going. But I do know that no matter where I go, that's where I'll be.

Is there anything lamer than a couple of well-read geeks riffing on philosophy?

No?

Didn't think so...

Yeah. Lame. All we need is Phaedrus to drive by and drop some Plato on the thread.

I feel I need to log off and go do something manly now.

Silly me... and I just thought he was using my old signature line from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. :D

Mad Max? I was thinking "Buckaroo Banzai" -- but, you know, those years are kind of a blur.

Oh God... Buckaroo Bonzai. Hadn't thought about THAT movie in a long time. Cult classic, I got it somewhere on VHS, wish I knew where, it'd be funny to watch tonight.
