Since someone mentioned the NWA DC-9 going off the end in MKE I figured I'd start a thread where everyone can share their stories as DC9 drivers in the north!
 
Works great. Just make sure the APU works when you have to go to FAI and the OAT is -40F. Unfortunatly I know what it is like to be in that situation.

Next to the NWA drivers... the original Allegheny/USAir drivers had some great experience with the DC-9's in the snow.

Short runways and poor surface conditions in airports such as Erie and Ithaca made for sporty landings and great "what ifs" for a RTO.
